What is SugarCon?
SugarCon is SugarCRM's annual customer, developer and partner conference. Attendees consist of a mix of customers, developers, partners, community members, and prospects. The conference's content is driven by customers and partners submitting session ideas and voting on their favorite session ideas submitted. SugarCRMs' aim is to provide our audience with relevant and practical information.
I am interested in sponsoring the event, who should I contact?
SugarCon is a great venue for exploring the future and functionality of CRM, showcasing products, cultivating developers, and interacting with CRM customers. If you are interested in sponsoring this event, please contact Kelly Vail, SugarCon2012@sugarcrm.com, for more information.
Does SugarCon Conference pass include training day?
SugarCRM has added to SugarCon's attendee offering by providing an optional session for customer and partner training. Our 'Training Day', Thursday April 26, is a separate offering and is not included or required to attend SugarCon. Customers and partners interested in participating in Training Day classes can select this offering when registering for SugarCon. Registration for Training Day is an additional cost.
Will there be rooms available at the Palace Hotel?
Yes, you can book your hotel room now. Rate: US$209.00 (note: rate is good for 3 days prior to and 3 days post conference) Deadline: Thursday, March 17, 5:00 pm Pacific Time. Terms: Please see hotel registration site for terms and conditions.
How do I pay for SugarCon?
SugarCon accepts the following credit cards for method of payment: MasterCard, Visa, and American Express. Payment is accepted during online registration and day-of registration.
What is your cancellation policy?
There is no reimbursement for cancellations.
May I bring guests?
Many participants will be traveling from afar and may want to travel with companions not attending the event. Please note that since SugarCon is for registered conference attendees only. Guests, family and children are not allowed at any conference sessions and most events.
When do you recommend I arrive and depart?
When booking your flights to SugarCon, you should plan to arrive at the Palace Hotel by Monday, April 23, 2012. Your departure should be scheduled after 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. Channel Partners participating in the paid Partner Training should plan to arrive prior to 9:00 am, Monday, April 23, 2012. Reserve your air travel as soon as possible. San Francisco International Airport is the closest major airport (25-minutes from downtown). Oakland International Airport is a 30-minute drive over the Bay Bridge. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) serves both airports. The Powell Street BART station is one block away from the Palace Hotel.
What can I expect in terms of the weather in San Francisco and how should I plan for attire?
The weather in San Francisco in April is usually pleasant; mid 60's of high to 50's at night/17 C/10C and mostly sunny. Check out: www.weather.com just prior to your travel date and select 10-Day forecast for the conference dates: April 23-26. The attire for the SugarCon conference is business casual. Plan to dress in layers, to ensure you are warm or cool enough for the weather outside and the meetings rooms inside.
Will SugarCon include meals?
All conference meals are covered by your Conference Registration fees. This includes any evening or special events offered throughout SugarCon.
What can I expect in terms of the evening events?
SugarCon attendees will be joining us on Tuesday night for a dinner event at the Exploratorium, a museum of science, art, and human perception; www.exploratorium.edu The event will be held at the Exploratorium and is free for registered attendees. Transportation to and from the venue will be provided. Guests of conference attendees must be registered prior to April 2nd, at a fee of $100 per guest.
For those conference attendees staying Wednesday and those participating in Thursday's 'Training Day', an evening Sugar Social will be held at the Palace Hotel's French Parlor.
